Come And Meet Captain Jack Sparrow In Scunthorpe - And Help UK Forces Heroes! FROM the High Seas of the Caribbean to the shores of Scunthorpe – Linden Homes will be giving a hero’s welcome to its very own Captain Jack Sparrow!
Helping to support Armed Forces Day on Saturday June 25, Linden Homes will be hosting its own day of awareness, fund-raising, competitions and of a visit by the silver screen’s most prolific pirate! Captain Jack Sparrow’ will be at the development from 12 – 3pm.The Water’s Edge development is open from Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 5pm. Alternatively, call the sales team on 01724 857988.

This year's Walk to Survive will take place at Northwood Stadium in Hanley on the weekend of July 9.
Teams of walkers will take turns to ramble for a combined total of 24 hours – from noon until noon the following day to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.

T'S an exciting time for our charity, which is named in memory of my dear son Ben Howard.
The person who never gets mentioned in the paper is my husband Chris, a Newcastle PMT bus driver, who too misses Ben, and has to regularly drive a bus through the hospital complex where Ben was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. Many of our community support our charity by visiting our charity warehouse at Longport.
This Monday we open Ben's Cafe at the warehouse, so refreshments and food will be on sale too.
This week I have been travelling by train from Stoke to Longport and back, and I must say, it's been a pleasure. However, I am aware that we have no pavements for pedestrians at two important crossing points.
Recently I met MPs Joan Walley and Tristram Hunt at events. I think that they both do amazing work. I hope soon they take the time to visit us at the warehouse and show some support.
In the meantime, Jack Sparrow is visiting our warehouse at 10am at the launch party of Ben's Cafe.

Need. A fun packed day for all the
family is being planned from 10am with Captain Jack Sparrow and the High Sheriff
of Surrey expected to be in attendance. There will also be a Captain Jack treasure hunt, a mini disco and puppet show and all the money raised will go
to disadvantaged children in
the UK.
